Sitting at home on a Tuesday night wrapped in a blanket and staring at my computer screen feeling guilty that I have not put up this post yet. I never thought I would hear myself say that I am excited for winter. The only reason why is the amazing Woolworths collections which will be available in store during this winter. I generally want to keep warm but always look stylish, I rely a lot on winter accessories to add to my outfits, there is no way I will accept being cold (hence I am writing this post wrapped in a blanket).
The show boasted amazing outfits made of leather, faux fur, plaid sexy lace, all of my favourite trends. One trend I see myself wearing a lot of this winter is definitely leather, I am on the hunt for the perfect leather mini skirt, so If you have any tips, let me know.
Its the second time that I attend an event at the Turbine Hall deep in Johannesburg, the venue is the perfect mix of modern chic and was the perfect venue for this event. I had no idea what to expect, we were greeted by friendly faces and escorted to the “red carpet” where I was welcomed by flashing photographers, I felt like a mini celebrity, I won’t lie!
The venue was buzzing with a great crowd of trendy people, good music and tasty nibbles – not to mention champagne. The evening then went on to showcase all the brands within Woolworths with a fashion show. I saw many items that I would love to own for this winter season, have a look at some of the photos I took through the course of the evening.
Oh by the way Woolworths now stocks Australian fashion brands Witchery and Mimco in South Africa. Cannot wait to see what they have in store for us this winter!
