When Rihanna tickets went on sale earlier this year, I was delighted to see that the Johannesburg concert was on my birthday (13 October 2013). I just knew this would take my birthday from great to fantastic! I attended the concert with my friend Katia, we took the park and ride option from Pretoria to Johannesburg and it proved to be the better option.
There was quite a bit of bad reviews on the concert, but personally I enjoyed it. She sang all my favourite songs and her stage presence is electifiying! The stadium was full which added to the vibe.
My friend and I sang and danced our hearts out, we had such a blast. I would definitely go see her in concert again. We were just behind golden circle,standing is not everyone’s cup of tea,but in order for me to ‘Shake it’ I prefer standing.One memory I will not forget was seeing Rihanna walk off the stage with the South African flag over her shoulders – my girl!
