Most of you who know me, know that I love fashion and I can be quite girly at times. I also have a passion for cars and gadgets and can become quite the tomboy at the best of times!
I came across this article earlier this week and I quite honestly could not hold my excitement. Imagine being able to change the colour of your shoes by the click of a button? Well now its possible! What is even more insane is that it is completely practical and wearable.
This tech is called the Volvorii timeless smart shoes and what’s so special about them is that they change color with the click of a smartphone app (iOS and Android versions will be available).
Not knowing what shoes to wear with an outfit will be a thing of the past! Changing from formal wear to casual wear will be as easy as a click of a button.
Created by a seven-person Lithuanian start up called iShuu Tech, these shoes are made of leather and rubber and outfitted with hidden circuit board, Bluetooth and battery components. They’ are also pimped out with electronic (e-ink) “paper” that you control with the app, altering the look of the flexible digital panel that spans from the top all the way down the sides of the pumps.The shoe also has has fasteners on the front and back that let you attach accessories, such as bows and flowers.
Available in black or white, soft leather-lined Volvorii also come in two tall heel heights, 3.5 inches and 4.5 inches. The battery that powers the display recharges via an included USB wireless charger and takes about two hours.
If you would like to own a pair, you’ll have to fork out $249. The jury is still out on whether i am completely convinced!
