It’s been a while since I have put up a “food” post. This is probably one of the easiest and quickest recipes to make. It doesn’t take too many ingredients,but you definately have to get your hands dirty when it comes to crunch time.
I was given this beautiful tea cup so I jumped an the oppertunity to accompany my green tea session with a mini bite. I love how colourful and pretty my cup is,makes my tea time fit for a princess*
I took some pic (well my brother did) because my hands were just to messy.
Date Truffles:
125g dates
65ml margarine
30ml sugar
65ml margarine
30ml sugar
2 eggs
2ml vanilla essence
1 Packet of Marie Biscuits
50ml coconut
2ml vanilla essence
1 Packet of Marie Biscuits
50ml coconut
- Cut the dates in small peices.

Melt the margarine in a saucepan over medium heat and add the dates and mix with a wooden spoon.Beat the sugar and egg mixture together until creamy,then carefully add the date mixture.

Add vanilla essence to the mixture

Crush the Marie Biscuits in a see through plastic bag by rolling it with a rolling pin until crushed. Then add to the mixture and leave to cool.
Then start to roll the mixture into small balls.

Then roll in the coconut,one finished,place in the fridge to
set.
*Optional: Add cherries to the mixture
