Hi There,

So I am back (Week 3) with my next review of the TRESemmé Platinum Strength range.  By now you know I am going to share the top trends from NYFW. If you missed last weeks feature, click here and here. Keep your eyes on the next couple of weeks as I have a few more surprises in store for my readers!

Ok back to the range, As you know I highlight pieces of my hair every 8 weeks and I do style my hair daily with tools, whether it be a hair straightener for dead straight hair or a hair curler for bouncy curls.

As much as my tools do not damage my hair because I use a heat protectant, its not 100% preventative. I am so glad that this range repairs up to two years of damage and reinforce hair’s natural protective layer for smooth hair. So when using these products, your hair is revitalised and smells amazing!

And without further ado, here are the NYFW looks, see my two picks below:

Look 1: The Grungy Tousled Wave

‘Keep your roots matte and apply gloss only to your ends, this will give you natural healthy looking hair and shine where it matters.’Chris Naselli, New York Fashion Week Ambassador for TRESemmé.

How to achieve this look:

STEP 1: Start by washing your hair with TRESemmé Platinum Strength Shampoo and Conditioner to restore strength and moisture.

STEP 2: Apply a few drops of TRESemmé Oil Elixir from the mid-shaft of the hair through to ends.

STEP 3: Use a hairdryer to rough dry hair to create natural looking body and movement.

STEP 4: Part hair in the middle to work in your natural texture. Pull one inch sections of hair at random from the crown of the head and use a curling iron to create zig zag bends.

STEP 5: Break the zig zag sections apart with your fingers and lightly run through.

STEP 6: To finish the look spray the hair with TRESemmé Firm Hold Hairspray.

‘Styling should not be about forcing your hair to conform but embracing and celebrating what makes it unique. Use products that best enhance your hair’s individual texture and don’t be afraid to experiment and layer your favourites together to find what suits you best’ Orlando Pita, TRESemmé New York Fashion Week Ambassador

How to achieve this look:

STEP 1: Start by washing your hair with TRESemmé Platinum Strength Shampoo and Conditioner to restore strength and moisture

STEP 2: Apply a coin size amount of TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximiser from root to tip, working through the hair in small sections. Blow dry on a low heat, running your fingers through your hair as you go to enhance your individual texture.

STEP 4: Separate hair into large sections and curl each one with a 1-inch barrel tong, holding the tongs loosely for a soft wave. Repeat this process on all sections.

STEP 6: Create a soft centre part and lightly comb the hair with a soft bristle brush. Be careful not to break up the hair too much, but create some lift at the roots. Finish with a light spray of TRESemmé Firm Hold Hairspray.
