I found this collection while I was trawling Twitter. I have never scene any of Philipp Plein’s other collections, I actually don’t even know the brand. With winter approaching, I think it is fitting that I came across this collection. As much as I don’t like the cold weather, great clothes and accessories inspire me and get me through the Winter season. We are that we don’t get snow in South Africa, winters are actually not all that bad. All the pieces are easy to wear and can be taken straight off the runway. This could be my new wardrobe this winter.
Now for the details, This collection is all about details which I love! The collection is firstly dark, loads of black items, they have added gold studs and spikes to add some glamour to outfits. From distressed denim to faux fur mini coats, cowboy hats to plaid outfits and last but not least leather. I would love to own all the boots in this collection….stud overload!
By the sound of things, the show was quite a highlight as well. Philipp Plein, hired British singer Rita Ora to perform and Naomi Campbell to open and close his fall show. The look was as exaggerated as the finale: The car caught fire and the models walked through a thick — not to mention annoying — veil of smoke. Personally it sounds fabulous to me!
