My recent Zomato experience was at Prosopa – a greek restaurant. Now I have actually never ventured out into greek food as I had the typical stereotype in mind that Greeks only eat lamb. Well that’s my experience with my greek cousin anyways. I am also not the biggest fan of lamb as I much rather stick with chicken /beef/pork.
As with any Zomato meet up I was non the less very excited. Firstly Prosopa is a hidden gem in the upmarket area of Waterkloof Heights in Pretoria. The restaurant has been in the same spot for 10 years and walking into the place you would never say! The decor is classic yet ads a level of Mediterranean chic – yes I felt at home!
One stand out part of the evening – and there were many – was Dino taking the time to chat to the group, even have dinner with us was a major highlight. His passion for cuisine as well as his customers really shines through the restaurant – you can see this through the waiters and the food.
Now let’s take a look at the menu – please take a look at all the dishes we tasted -10 starters and an array of delicious mains and desserts. I did not know if my palette was going to make the night! Dish after dish, the flavours were explosive!
Take a look at some of my top selection from the menu below:
In essence Prosopa is a beautifully designed restaurant, it boasts modern Greek cuisine with a superb wine list. The service was great. The food was outstanding, authentic yet modern and I’ll definitely be back. If you wouls like to take a look at a few more reviews and more information, click here. As usual I met some amazing new people and we shared an amazing evening together tasting delicious Greek food!
PS: Dino I NEED more of those fries!!
